Cellophane Vector (2017)
These images were grabbed from social media, the new commons. The commons was stolen through decades of retrogressive policies. Robbed of a public platform of expression and dissent, social media arose to fill the void. Society is mediated rapidly, vapidly by headline arguments and trivialities. These images have been quadrupled to intensify the shock value of contemporary political modes of address. These images operate within the domains of image dimension: pixels and value. there is a cellophane thin layer of diplomacy occluding an enormous shift in ideology; a vector moving through social systems like, a virus that infects silently, potently, dangerously. the new commons has already been colonized by the corporatocracy.2017 (printed 2017)
